“The Pond” Basketball Court Mural

Welcome to the “The Pond” Basketball Court Mural. The AIDS Memorial Project of Northeast Florida has fulfilled another vision. The Willowbranch Park on Sydney Street in Riverside neighborhood features a 50 x 94 square foot basketball court mural. This significant public art installation, painted by local artist, Keith Doles, is our gift to this beautiful historic park, rich in local and regional culture. The artwork features a semi-realistic Koi pond with multiple colored fish in bright and bold colors, inviting for all ages. The artwork complements the developing botanical garden in the park.

A culture rich in history and charm, historic riverside/Avondale expands well beyond just the word. It exists as fashion, art, perception, practice, civilization, and experience. It is sharing the various ways we live and making meaning out of life. Within our culture, we have subcultures. These are ever-evolving. The youth culture leads our future, and AMP is proud to see such a diverse group of people of all ages who care about sports and this beautiful park.
