June 12, 2016 Orlando Pulse nightclub was under siege with gunfire. Omar Mateen shot and killed 49 people and wounded 53 people. One of these individuals was 29 year-old Darryl [D.J.] Roman Burt II.
A dedication ceremony for the installation of the new park bench is planned for Monday, June 12 at 6:00 p.m. to take place along Sydney Street in Willowbranch Park. This bench will replace the original bench that was removed from its location. To date, we do not have any information leading to any suspects who obsconded with the bench. The bench weighed approximately 300lbs and was made partially from concrete and wood.
